Scout expects there to be a lot of talent in Charlotte Sunday to compete at the NIKE Football Training Camp and here is a preview.

Quarterbacks

A quarterback out of the Peach State will head up to Charlotte this weekend to compete and that is Georgia commitment Brice Ramsey (Kingsland, Ga.-Camden County). He is a top 100 QB on Scout and he had a very strong showing at the Elite 11 in Atlanta a few weeks ago.

Many other top signal callers will be in attendance as well and heading that list is Riley Ferguson (Matthews, N.C.-Butler), Connor Mitch (Raleigh, N.C.-Wakefield), Carliss Parker (Statesville, N.C.-Statesville), Bucky Hodges (Virginia Beach, Va.-Salem - Virgina Tech commitment), and Will Grier (Charlotte, N.C.-Davidson Day - 2014).

Running Backs

Running backs have an opportunity to showoff their quickness, speed, ability to cut, blocking ability, and hands out of the backfield at this event, and some good ones will be on hand.

The top two could be in the 2014 class. Derrell Scott plays at Havelock High School in North Carolina and Elijah Hood plays at Charlottle Catholic in North Carolina. Scott is all about speed and Hood is about power. Both have big-time offers early.

The top 2013 running back expected is North Carolina commitment Khris Francis out of Hillside High School in North Carolina.

Bryce Love is a 2015 running back to keep an eye on too. He is a back with great speed out of Wake Forest-Rolesville in North Carolina.

Wide Receivers

Wide receivers from North Carolina and South Carolina will be participating in this camp and Georgia commitment Tramel Terry out of Goose Creek, S.C. and Uriah LeMay out of Matthews, N.C. are two of the best in the South. Terry is a versatile athlete just outside the top 100 on Scout. LeMay is a physical receiver making a strong push for a fourth star.

Some of the top 2014 prospects in the Carolinas will be competing at wideout as well. Trevion Thompson is the next star out of Hillside, N.C. and Aggadoria Bowers is a target for many schools out of Bamberg, S.C. Both have offers. Braxton Berrios is another exciting athlete to keep and eye on. He plays for Leesville Road (N.C.).

Tight Ends

A good group of tight ends is expected Sunday and Josh McNeil out of Hillside, N.C. leads the way. He has over 30 scholarship offers and he plans to narrow his list down to six next week. Schools from coast to coast are targeting McNeil.

Others to watch at this position are Kevin Crosby (Bambergh, S.C.-Bamberg-Ehrhardt - 2014), Aaron Black (Dallas, Ga.-East Paulding), Reshawn Riley (Allendale, S.C.-Allendale-Fairfax), and Kalen Ritchie (Goose Creek, S.C.-Goose Creek- 2014).

Offensive Line

2014 offensive lineman Bentley Spain (6-6/270) out of Providence High School in Charlotte, N.C. comes into this event as the top offensive lineman and he is only a sophomore. Over 10 schools have offered Spain including Clemson, Florida, Michigan, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

Tevin Lawshe (Charlotte, N.C.-Mallard Creek), Brandon Smith (Kernersville, N.C.-East Forsyth), and Mike Sutton (Panther Creek, N.C.).

Defensive Line

The defensive line position is not very deep on paper for this camp, but it is strong at that top if all show up.

Robert Nkemdiche (Loganville, Ga.-Grayson), the number one prospect in America is on the list, but he said on Thursday night that he was still unsure if he would be there.

Auburn commitment Carl Lawson (Alpharetta, Ga.-Milton) is a Scout300 prospect and he is a machine on the football field. He could play end or outside linebacker on the next level.

Lewis Neal (Wilson, N.C.-Hunt) is committed to Ohio State to play defensive end and one of the top overall prospects in the Tar Heel State.

Tyquan Lewis (Tarboro, N.C.-Tarboro), Antonio Riles (Lawrenceville, Ga.-Acher), and Alex Brown (White Knoll, S.C.-White Knoll) are also expected. Lewis could play end or outside linebacker, Riles could play anywhere along the line, and Brown could play defensive end or tight end.

Linebackers

Two of the best in North Carolina lead the way at this position. Larenze Bryant (Charlotte, N.C.-Vance) and Peter Kalambayi (Matthews, N.C.-Butler) are both Scout300 members and both have over 20 scholarship offers. Scout sees Bryant as a linebacker who could play inside or outside and Kalambayi is an inside linebacker.

East Carolina commitment Tristan Mumford (Statesville, N.C.-Statesvile), LaChaston Smith (Statesville, N.C.-South Iredell), and Jalen Stevens (Goose Creek, S.C.-Goose Creek) are others that have offers.

Defensive Backs

The defensive back group is an impressive one as we head into this camp. Leading the way are Clemson commitment Jadar Johnson (Orangeburg, S.C.), North Carolina commitments Korrin Wiggins (Hillside, N.C.-Hillside) and Desmond Lawrence (Charlotte, N.C.-Charlotte Christian), and Tauren Ferguson (Jonesboro, Ga.-Jonesboro). Johnson and Wiggins are safety prospects and Lawrence and Ferguson are versatile enough to play either position on the next level.

Other top prospects expected that play this position are Chocolate Wilson (Myrtle Beach, S.C.-Myrtle Beach), Trevellous Cheek (Lawrenceville, Ga.-Archer), California commitment Shon Akins (Norcross, Ga.-Norcross), Breon Borders (Statesville, N.C.-Statevsille), and David Kamara (Loganville, Ga.-Grayson)

Scout will provide full coverage from the event including our top performers, a notebook, interviews, photos, and more.
