Former North Carolina State defensive tackle K’Hadree Hooker has transferred to the East Carolina. football team The 6-foot-1 inch, 307-pounder from Kinston, N.C., was redshirted as a freshman last season, thus will have three remaining years of eligibility.
“Ready to see what God has in store for me at my new destination #PirateNation,” Hooker said on his Twitter site earlier Thursday. “Headed back to the east where I will finish my collegiate career!!! #piratenation I’m excited to join the family.”
Due to NCAA rules, Hooker must sit out for the entire 2013 season, but he told Inside ECU Sports that he plans to attend class Friday morning.
Out of South Lenoir High School, Hooker was a three-star prospect and the No. 29 ranked defensive tackle in the nation.
