Diamond Bucs Continue Plunge

The official East Carolina Athletics’ site has been including the Pirates’ national ranking in its baseball game recap headlines. Following this past weekend’s results, that little addition will probably not be necessary.

The Horned Frogs pounded out 20 runs in beating ECU 5-1, 8-4, 7-2. Now, six games into its inaugural season of Conference-USA competition, the Diamond Bucs have registered just one win and are struggling. Overall, the Pirates have an impressive record of 14-6-1 a majority of those wins were against the likes of Pace University and New York Tech. ECU’s C-USA mark of 1-4-1 leaves the Pirates tied for eighth place in the current standings.
