The 6-foot-2, 195-pound safety committed to East Carolina fairly early in the process, and he has a chance to be an impact performer. With his size and speed, Thompson could project as a strong safety or outside linebacker.

He shows solid cover skills as a safety in high school and has great timing when breaking on the ball.
